Cute.. The real story as told by the poor, misunderstood wolf. Suitable for children who already know the original version and not adversly affected by the pigs being eaten.

Loved reading on historical figures. Living in the states I didn’t know much history. I feel more greatly connected to the Island having read of some of its most important historical figures.

Saving Gideon

First in a christian book series about a Warrior angel (Gideon) whom God specifically chooses to fill the role of a guardian angel (quite different from what he is used to) of a new child. This first book is basically an introduction to the whole story that will undoubtably unfold in the books to come. The setting is set, the characters are introduced and at the very end the child is now turning 3 and will no longer be able to see/play with her guardian angel and this is something Gideon is trying to come to terms with as he has become quite attached to "his family." There really isn't much of a story in this first book. It is basically a long outline. On a side note: this was my First audio book. I listened at bedtime mostly or outside in my hammock. I can't say I'm a fan of audio books yet. Will try the Car next. I like to be able to to back to previously read Lanes to review facts of story lines I may not have been clear on the First time reading and I couldn't Do that with the audio version.

After reading many of Freida McFaddens books, I fpund this to be too predictable

Such a cute storyline! Very mysterious and interesting too, one of my best reads ever so far.

Safer Places

These stories are beautifully calming and surprisingly emotional for its apparent simplicity. Though this is a collection of stories, you'll find they're all a little interwoven, and that's what makes it perfect. Everything is spaced out just how it should be, creating a fantastic arc of bite sized stories that seamlessly flow across various intense themes. My only complaint is that sometimes the language that is used is too casual, making it difficult to understand at times, but otherwise, I very highly recommend this book, espessially if you've been facing high stress lately.
